# How much power pass-through can the VT200 provide?

If you are using a third-party USB-C power adapter with the **VisionTek VT200**, your laptop may display an **"undersized power adapter"** warning when the available power is lower than what your laptop requires.

The VT200 supports **up to 100W of USB-C Power Delivery passthrough**, but this does not mean that every laptop will receive 100W. The amount of power your laptop receives depends on the USB-C power adapter and the laptop's charging requirements.

Your laptop may continue charging after the warning appears, but it may charge more slowly or continue to use battery power while connected.

**Important**

- The VT200 supports up to **100W of USB-C Power Delivery passthrough**.
- A compatible USB-C power adapter is required to use power passthrough.
- The power adapter must provide enough power for your laptop's requirements.
- The VT200 does not increase the wattage provided by the connected power adapter.
- Your laptop may receive less than 100W depending on the power adapter and your laptop's specifications.
- An undersized power adapter may result in slower charging or continued battery drain while the laptop is in use.

For the best charging performance, use a USB-C power adapter that meets the wattage requirements recommended by your laptop manufacturer.
