Can I use a DisplayLink dock with USB-A and USB-C?

Yes. VisionTek DisplayLink docking stations support a USB-A-to-USB-C connection, allowing you to connect a laptop or computer with a USB-A port to the dock's USB-C host port.

If your computer has a USB-A port, connect the USB-A end of the cable to your computer and the USB-C end to the docking station.

Important

A USB-A (computer) to USB-C (docking station) connection does not provide laptop charging through the docking station. Laptop charging requires a compatible USB-C Power Delivery (PD) connection.
