What type of SSD is compatible with my computer?

 SSD compatibility depends on four primary factors:

• Storage interface (SATA or NVMe)
• Form factor (2.5", M.2 2230, 2242, or 2280)
• Connector keying (M-Key, B-Key, or B+M Key)
• System support and available storage connections

VisionTek SSDs are available in:

• 2.5" SATA SSD
• M.2 NVMe 2230 SSD
• M.2 NVMe 2242 SSD
• M.2 NVMe 2280 SSD

Before purchasing an SSD:

1. Check your computer manufacturer's specifications.
2. Determine whether your system supports SATA SSDs, NVMe SSDs, or both.
3. Verify the supported SSD size.
4. Verify the supported connector type.
5. Confirm any storage capacity limitations.

An M.2 slot does not automatically support all M.2 SSDs. The slot must support both the SSD's physical connector and communication protocol.
